I've found in the past that T-Mobile will give new customers some great deals but walk all over and have no time for their existing customers.

Am I reading this wrong, or is the Ultra the only one with an OLED? That would be a shame for sure.

They all have AMOLED
Looks like the only substantial upgrade over the S21 is (at the lowest level which is what I have) is the main sensor on the camera, and a new processor which appears to have very tiny gains. It's a little smaller and has a smaller battery, but supports lower refresh rates which can save battery when in a pinch.
It still seems like a downgrade from the S20, which had an SD card slot (very helpful if you intend to use 8K video), 12 GB of ram (overkill I know) and a better refresh range. Oh well. I'll just stay with the S21 this year. //@Anonymous: Am I reading this wrong, or is the Ultra the only one with an OLED? That would be a shame for sure.

Was so disappointed when I found out the new Samsungs don't have an SD slot. My three year old S9 is finally starting to die and have 64+128GB as storage. Never had an iphone but will be making the jump later this summer. Samsung really screwed themselves by leaving the SD slot out.

Yep, my wife has an s20 (woth SD card slot) and I have an s21 (no SD card slot). We both have 8k video. But, the built in 128 gb of storage would only hold like 90 sec of 8k video. Why put an 8k camera in a device with 128 gb of storage?

I understand what he means tho, because SD memory expansion used to be one of the very most important advantages of Samsung over iPhone for me, so I was also disappointed. I almost pulled the trigger until I saw only USB cable is provided. I know Samsung is following Apple using the excuse to protect the environment while they both ship more than 200 million units (soon to be e-waste) every year. I don't really need a charger for Samsung phone since I have a few type-C chargers at home. But I really hate this idea to treat customers as fool by using a stupid reason to hide their greed.

I did quite a bit of research on Mint mobile and there's two things that I found that concern me.
One is their customer support, a lot of it is done by email and you get many complaints of not getting things done in time. I think this is very important, you have to have a good platform when it comes to customer service.
Secondly, because they use T-Mobile's towers T-Mobile customers come first so you could be a baseball game and the T-Mobile customer next to you has got full five bar capacity and is doing loads of downloads whereas you've got basically nothing if that makes sense as T-Mobile customers come first, and rightfully so.

I have Mint for 2.5 years now. I stream at least 10-15 GBs a month and have had no issues (I have the unlimited plan and have not hit a cap yet). I stream mostly when I workout and when I drive. I haven't had issues hotspotting either occasionally, but I think there's a cap on that. Just keep in mind that they are using T-Mobile networks and there are spotty areas. Think Verizon still has the least spotty areas, but they're also a lot more expensive. Also, more expensive to use Mint Mobile internationally. Haven't had the need to call or email customer support. I am guessing if you have an issue with your phone that you might do that maybe... but the billing and stuff is pretty straight forward and dry. Not much to argue/negotiate there. You won't get a refund if you stop using it halfway - you prepaid for it.

Hmmm is it too good to be true? Say I am with ATT now and get $1000 phone and then switch to Verizon. Then ATT sends me $1000 bill and I show that to Verizon to get $1000 credit. That makes the ATT phone free! Isn't that too good to be true? Or I am missing something??
cheetah
Here's some requirements for the switch promotion (you can view at Verizon by clicking on any phone > Way to save > View details.
> Add a smartphone (retail value over $699.99) with monthly device payments to your cart, then activate on a new smartphone line of service with any Verizon Unlimited plans. You'll get up to $1000 Virtual Prepaid Mastercard per switched line.
> After checkout, visit vzw.com/rebate. Upload your final bill and enter required information (including promo code SWITCH21) which will also be emailed to you in a few weeks of purchase. You must submit within 60 days of activation.
> Receive your Virtual Prepaid Mastercard per device within 8 weeks.
Thanks. //@anonymous: Hmmm is it too good to be true? Say I am with ATT now and get $1000 phone and then switch to Verizon. Then ATT sends me $1000 bill and I show that to Verizon to get $1000 credit. That makes the ATT phone free! Isn't that too good to be true? Or I am missing something??

Many thanks “Cheetah” for details. Do you know if I can switch only few lines from my ATT account - reason of asking is my ATT account will still be open for other lines while my next bill shows penalty for closing lines!

I don't have this answer. You can certainly chat with Verizon reps online to ask them how they handle such situations. Good luck. //@anonymous: Many thanks “Cheetah” for details. I bought pixel 3a summer last year. Dropped it face down on my Spain trip and have a crack on the screen. Didn't change the phone. It has been working great for the past year - no complaints. Only problem is you cannot have too many apps open. At some point it spins on a new app. I just do a close all and start the new app. Every thing else is fantastic for the price. The camera, the viewing angle, sound, weight of the phone, everything.
I would totally recommend it.
