Haha... Home Deport is always a couple of weeks late after Lowes every year. Don't understand their promotion strategy!

See if your nearby municipality produces compost so you can buy in bulk at very good prices, even if from resellers/shippers.

Go to your towns web site. Our town offers an option where we can pick up free mulch or have it delivered for a fee. //@Anonymous: I would love it my community did this. Not structually strong. It falls apart into pieces if you place cushions inside. Better for small items like delivery packages, pool tools, etc.

Spectracide doesn't kill the plant root, it will come again after a while. I hate to say it, but glyphosate works best, in that it kills the entire plant, though it may take a few days for its effect to become full.

It is mostly wood chips, but think it this way - it is very lightweight and easy to carry because it essentially contains no soil although it is called “soil” -:) //@anonymous: Is it still 90% wood chips?

Buyer beware, garden soil can be absolutely anything, there are no standards. To not be confused with topsoil, potting soil, potting mix and the likes.
