Since it’s from Amazon, you can claim warranty through Amazon. //@anonymous: ASUS does not respect warranty, go for any other brand

False. Amazon will tell you to talk to Asus, who won’t honor the warranty. Stay away. //@anonymous: Since it’s from Amazon, you can claim warranty through Amazon. //@anonymous: ASUS does not respect warranty, go for any other brand

Why not just get the ultra 2 for $20 more??

Good point. Honestly, I always just get the highest priced Apple products available. Otherwise I'm sure I would just end up worrying that someone else has a better, higher-end one than I got. And it just feels good to be better than other people. //@Anonymous: Why not just get the ultra 2 for $20 more??

7200 rpm for a NAS drive, which WD Red is technically designed for, is almost an oxymoron. Unless you are on 2.5 Gbps setup, a 5400 rpm drive will effectively use up all the network bandwidth on sustained read/write. If you care about burst read/write speed, then why bother with a HDD on the first place.

Be careful. Many Lenovo laptops have 4 or 8 of soldered 2 GB ram sticks for 8 or 16 GB memory. Basically not upgradable.

Don’t the connectors on these break or developed issues very easily? I have a 4TB version that doesn’t get recognized unless the cable is held at a very specific angle and pressure.
