Yes , it has an YouTube app and it works good. There is no fee just to use YouTube app. If you have premium YouTube account, you can sign into that account too. //@Anonymous: Can it play Youtube? if I only want to access Youtube, monthly fee?

I agree, the 4k is faster and has smoother operation, definitely noticeable and I think it is worth the extra money //@anonymous: Non 4k version is a very slow device. Buy 4k version instead even if you only have 1080p tv.
