Costco in my area Livermore, California prefers you to buy and return, otherwise higher management needs to be involved to override and it will taint the store manager performance.. I tried asking for price adjustment and was told to buy&return. //@Anonymous: just ask for price adjustment //@Anonymous: wow it was 20 bucks few days ago.
